Vault and door, Central Library, Kansas City, MO 2012 After remodeling the former First National Bank, the Central Library moved into this building in 2004. The old bank vault, part of the 1925 bank addition, contains walls of steel and reinforced concrete and a 35-ton steel door. It has been converted into a movie theater showing a variety of films in partnership with local film groups.
