These are gladiators of rugby, that also happen to be homosexual. This series captured during the “Bash About” event, hosted by Germany’s first gay and inclusive rugby team, “The Berlin Bruisers”, show Men being Men, drawn together by the spirit of competition and brotherhood. The common thread of Rugby creates a community and purpose, and says “We are not the gay stereotype you construct for us, we are sportsmen who play and train hard.”.

The “Bash About” event happens every 2 years in Berlin, with the next one occurring in 2020. The Berlin Bruisers also take part in the yearly Gay and Inclusive Rugby tournaments which draw teams from all around the world. The next will be held over 10 days in August 2020, in Ottawa Canada.
