Cronulla is a beachside suburb in the state of NSW, Australia. The locals are a hardy lot.
Many of them are in the ocean all year round with some swimming about 2 km’s around ‘Shark Island’ every day, and that pretty much says it all.
Photographed along the Esplanade, the plain-painted concrete walls of surfside pavilions serve as backdrop to a strength of character, apparent well after the initial smiles for the camera have gone.
