Stuck In The Past In The Medina Of Fès

Architect and Photographer Rokas Jankus is the Edge of Humanity Magazine contributor of this documentary photography. From the project ‘Fes’. To see Rokas’ body of work, click on any image.
The Medina of Fès is one of the biggest, if not the biggest Medina in North Africa. It is also one of the biggest car-free zones worldwide. If you find your way inside through the numerous gates, you will be awarded by fascinating views, colors, smells and sounds. Everything is like from the past, stuck in time, not much technological progress visible.
