Visual Artist Kevin Ramolla is the Edge of Humanity Magazine contributor of this photo essay. From the project ‘Sleepwalking’. To see Kevin’s body of work, click on any image.
In this series Kevin Ramolla studied, observed and captured various narratives unfolding in nightly street life scenes. These observations stand in pure contrast to the daily hectic business and are covered in a mystic silence and expression of tender solitude.
Along with the modest and spotty street lights every captured scenario would seem like a (snow) globe of a distilled, gloomy moment in focus.
In addition it should also resemble a stage play embodying its very own individual and beautiful story fragment while being surrounded by the dark. While suffering from insomnia, taking long strolls through the streets at night and connecting with fellow insomniac beings through this project became part of a healing process.
