Sublime and grotesque, the artwork of Dystopian Lullaby depicts the emotional frailty caused by uncertainty. It reverberates from a visceral place where the effects of past traumas linger. The figures exist in noir spaces that provide a quiet sense of dread while embodying the essence of fraught human connectivity. In the abyss of an angst-ridden world, filled with distorted expectations and abject conundrums, I reveal the haunting existence of profound inner truths. These images aim to attach to the autonomous sympathetic human response devoid of gender, language, and culture. I consider my paintings realist in that they project an empathetic response to the trials of contemporary living.
