‘Events That Shaped Our Society’
Seneca was condemned to death by Emperor Nero AD 65. The Roman Stoic philosopher was to commit suicide by cutting the veins on his arms. As time went by he also cut his knees and legs. Hours into the ordeal they brought over Hemlock the poison of choice. It is assumed the poison left his body via his blood as the philosopher bled. While rambling away his teachings, Seneca was placed into a warm bath, where he met sweet death.
This series aims to visit chapters of our collective history.
As we navigate our lives at the speed of light, one may ponder about the efficacy of history as man’s supreme teacher.
With all the new pieces added to the game of life in the last decade(s); can we still trust the mechanics of past events to give the same results as we experienced in earlier days of our civilization?
