front patio
it was a warm night
plenty of mosquitoes
both of us rocking in our chairs
smoking corn pipes
sippen on whiskey
Then all of a sudden
interruption of the current discussion
He started rambling:
“politicians
old timers you know
both sides of the aisle
no different
they own the narrative
rip people apart
black
brown
blue
green
white
many
follow
carve out core
What is left?
have a look
it is all just hollow
open wide and swallow”
