“SUTURES series explores the hierarchy between human skin and other skins, human flesh and other meat. The same gesture made to heal and mend, can also hurt and violate.
Suturing requires no cuts.
These raw experiments take to the operating room domestic elements and sew every fiber, every texture to see the needle pierce the flesh, tense the matter. And to find poetry in the banal.”
