Mother Monster explores ideas of contemporary moving images and fantasy.
480-720 frames are recorded as one, allowing the viewer to see what the human eye naturally cannot. By capturing multiple stills at once, through long exposures, the illusion of movement in cinematography is revealed.
Based on Lady Gaga’s manifesto to ‘Born this Way’, Mother Monster creates a new otherworldly narrative between good and evil. Condensed snippets of stories lose their original meaning and build a new alien world.
This series was realized in the form of a book, consisting of the following chapters: G.O.A.T., Birth of Freedom, Pendulum of Choice, Birth of Evil.
