Animal Flesh & Human Embellishments

The hypocrisy of the fashion and beauty industry has been to make something innately disgusting and cruel to seem luxurious and glamorous. The same people that protest over the Dog Meat Festival in Korea walk the streets of NYC with their fur collars, leather coats and snakeskin shoes. In advertisements, models in alluring positions pose next to tortured flesh, fashioned into $10,000 handbags.
Why is showing the actual animal in its flesh, killed for our pleasure and vanity, considered sick and disturbing, if we wear and eat these conscious beings every day without a thought?
