Written by Laura Berry
How can something so tangible fall apart?
What binds the physical together?
Molecules held suspended by magic..
Is it love?
Then unravel my heart at the seams
And pour forth my pain and loss
Let me empty so that i feel no more
I grasp the shadow of what was
But is no longer
The finely woven cloth turns to fibres in my hands
The dust slips through my fingers
And disperses on the wind
Yet my love remains strong
My memories not gone
Remaining real yet ethereal
I cannot touch, just feel
An unfinished tapestry hangs in my soul
The needle lost
A half written book closed and shelved
The story wasn´t finished…
or was it?
The unravelled changes the direction of my feet
Not an end a turning
Though it doesn´t stop the yearning
Maybe in time
I find a new needle and start to sew again
Right now i am unravelled
