“We all have at least one opportunity to make a big change in life, step out of our chrysalis and be reborn in a more authentic, stronger, freer form.”
I was born with a body encased in a silk cocoon.
I could see the world outside but I could not free myself from that cage, imprisoned within myself.
I stifled any desire for freedom, remaining chained in a life that was not alive.
Unable to react, passively enduring the passage of time, hours, minutes, increasingly slower, more and more inexorably desolating.
But slowly, slowly, I tasted the desire for freedom.
I can’t stand that “mesh” over my skin anymore.
Those silk chains that deprived me of true existence that took my breath away, that suppressed desires, that left me blind to life.
And then I fought, I added, I cried, I screamed, I scratched my soul, I left the marks of my nails on my body that wanted to tear away all that pain I had inside.
Finally, I listened to my heart explode.
And how I stopped being a larva to evolve into a free creature to start breathing pure air… to truly savor life.
