When an artist walks away from street photography’s main practice of documenting life through public exposure, they can find endless opportunities to depict that city in a different way. Playing with angles, lights, shadows, and using buildings, stairways, bridges, street art, and transportation venues, one can transform street photography into fine art.
If the artist releases their focus from reality, even though keeping the city and its occupants as the main subjects, he or she can develop a new finished product by changing perspective during their creation.
Unlike (documentary) street photography (the artistic version) sees no boundaries as it pierces into fine art photography.
