Written by Faye Firth
As her neighbor stalked the hallways
Put poison in her milk
The authorities could do nothing
No evidence they would chink
She broke in through a window
Then used weed killer on my lawn
I asked for help again
Mediation was adjourned
My garden shed was broken
The trees cut down to root
I called again for assistance
Camera evidence was bleak
She hit me with her car
I saw her smiling face
The court let her go
with a meaningless disgrace
I locked myself away
I heard her through the walls
My time was coming soon
that milk was just the first
Her daughter knew her demons
but there was nothing she could do
When she visited me that day I tried to stop her stay
Her silent sobs of pain and guilt realizing her mothers sins
My body bruised and battered but my soul free with gains
I don’t feel pain or anger now watching earthly happenings
Making sure the new tenant is safe from the evil next door groomed.
