‘Liaisons’ is a glimpse of the intimacy of the bonds that connect women to each other, be they mother and daughter, sisters or friends. From the teaching transmitted from mother to daughter to the complicity of growing up together, of experiencing the world side by side, the link between two women often has an antique, deep and ancestral taste.
I think that also the struggle for female emancipation, the battle fought by our foremothers to make us obtain rights that we didn’t have in the past, and the rage for the discrimination that nowadays we receive from men in our everyday life, took deep roots within us, roots that make us feel tied to each other by an invisible and lasting thread.
