Modern Architecture Beauties
This series focuses on the interpretation of modern architecture. I am trying to find my own way of expressing the essence of these buildings and at the same time create beautiful, intriguing images.
I shoot architecture wherever I am, might be in well-known places like the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, but I also like to create an unusual view of a lift house in the mountains, for example.
Bio Born in East Germany, I became fascinated by the art of photography very early in my life. Before turning 18 years old, I already had my own camera and laboratory, enabling me to control the whole process of creating photographs. For many years I worked with a large format film camera, concentrating mainly on color landscape photography. Later, I became more interested in fine art black & white photography, as in my view this is much more versatile and creates more unique images, that stand out from the mass of photos that we are bombarded with in everyday life. I still like landscapes a lot, but have also worked on architecture images more and more. I now use a medium format digital camera for shooting my photos and I own a big printer, so that I am still able to control all steps of creation myself, up to the final printed result. Despite my huge interest in photography, I have never made this a profession. I enjoy being completely free in what I do in my photographic projects. I have been living in the outskirts of Munich for many years, and I enjoy shooting in the surroundings here and wherever I travel.
