Artist Neal Grundy is the Edge of Humanity Magazine contributor of these images. From the series ‘Exploding Paint’. To see Neal’s body of work, click on any photograph.
At first glance, the viewer may believe he is seeing a solid object. In reality, the image captures exploding paint in ‘mid-flight’. The shape exists for a split second in time; once photographed, it is otherwise lost forever, never to be re-created. The images have been produced using a laser beam trigger that fires the camera and flash once the beam has been broken, human reaction is too slow to capture the images manually.
