In this work I reinterpret the landscape of the natural world as a reflection of self. Dualities of creation and destruction, illusion and reality exist in nature and within us. Here, I represent experience of nature as a beautiful, saturated reverie, a fantastical garden in which we’re both caretakers and destroyers. By combining images of nature, sky and earth, a new reality is conjured. A digital figment of an imagined place that evokes the idea of a paradise lost, our increasing disconnection from sensory experience of the natural world as well as the destruction of our environment, disappearing biodiversity and diminishing wild space.
