“I am not a landfill
I am not a place you come
To dump the contaminants of your day
All over my humanity
I am not a Saint you pray to
I am not here to be used
For my listening ears and still spirit
With no reciprocity
I am not only a player
In your game of life
A participant
in your movie
I have my own
It’s you
Who hasn’t paid your dues
To sit in my audience
I am not a sound board
Or a marketing director
For your campaigns and projects
I have my own
I am not a convenience store
Open 24 hrs
7 days a week
For your quick needs
And car trash
I am a meadow
Which you pass by
To busy to stop
To preoccupied to notice
To loud to quiet
Onward
To the next 7/11
For a quick fix
5 hour energy
Better to buzz
Than be
In a meadow
I am not a scrapbook
Whose purpose is
to remember
Your life events
And milestones
While you
Forget mine
I am not a therapist
Paid to listen
To stories about
Friends
Done wrong
While our
Friendship
Is desecrated
Run dry
A climate changed
Because of choices
You made”

Disowning, someone else’s, emotions, that’s a first step toward, getting out of the enmeshment.
This is perfection. I could print it and mail it out to a few people.
Love this!
