Artist Statement I traded in my paints and brushes for film and the camera. My passion is to travel to remote corners of the globe in search of compelling travel experiences and images. My most recent project has been photographing the remote areas of Latin America. I find the most interesting, intriguing places are off the beaten path and thus seldom visited by outsiders. I strive to find the magic and poetry that exists in everyday life, a harmony between magic and culture. The brave and openhearted people who have very little but their warm hearts, welcome me and allow me to photograph as they go about their daily lives. I try to take my images beyond to capture the poetry hidden in almost every situation in life.
