Do your best to balance life
Ocean waves will come and crash
Drowning perfect plans in strife
This too shall pass
Tripped and woke the hornet’s nest
Tried your best to make a dash
Pelted by persistent pests
The pain won’t last
Every day, you soak in pain
Feeling overwhelmed, mind flayed
How much strength could yet remain-?
The scars will fade
Heart adrift in tears and fears
Helpless, tossed in rain and wind
Asking: “Does nobody hear?”
The storm will end
Hold onto that raft called Hope
Churning as the sea may be
Put anxieties to rest
Nurture equanimity
And this too shall pass
