Written by Zach Rahed
All they ever do is talk
In bars, in cars
At the shopping malls
On the computer, the phone
Everywhere!
Never allowing silence to liberate the mind
Or the Edenic beauty of quiet solitude
To comfort a heavy heart
All day long
All people
ever do
is talk
Until the end of time,
They talk
While the clock never-endingly ticks,
People talk
Until the Angel of Death knocks
On the door
They talk
Until the sands in the hourglass
Empty
People talk
And like the clock, they never stop
Tick-talk, tick-talk
All people
ever do
is talk!
Yet if we take our time to listen
To listen to each other and ourselves
The synchronized ways of all life on earth
We will evolve as one
As one consciousness living in eternal harmony
We will forever understand who we are
Who we have always meant to be
We will be, simply
Perfect…
