Project “Into the Dark” is a fine art conceptual self-portraiture series of images. Inspired by the works of amazing photographer Brooke Shaden and based on real experiences, I wanted to create a story that shows the path that someone is going through in life.
With “Into the Dark,” I wanted to capture the complexity of the human experience and shed light on the often-overlooked battles that individuals face in their day-to-day lives. Through self-portraiture, I have become both the subject and the storyteller, enabling me to explore my own struggles and tap into a collective narrative that resonates with countless others. Everyone has some ups and downs, but the point is to keep going, not giving up.
With each image, I have strived to create a visual representation of the internal journey we go through when faced with challenging circumstances. Through symbolism and carefully crafted compositions, I aim to convey the importance of maintaining hope, seeking support, and breaking free from the shackles of societal expectations. It is my sincere hope that this series not only inspires empathy and understanding but also encourages viewers to reflect on their own experiences and embrace the power they possess to effect positive change in their lives.
