Written by Peter McCollum
the siblings three
so lost and angry
can’t pick themselves up
can’t pull themselves free
the elder brother
once full of light
gropes any woman
who enters his sight
remembers your vows
remember your faith
you’re stuck, elder brother
you’re stuck
the baby sister
once full of fire
despises the world
we all feel her ire
remember your mother
remember her strength
you’re stuck, little sister
you’re stuck
the dear middle brother
my closest friend
too many opinions
and not enough sense
remember my kindness
remember i care
you’re stuck, dearest brother
you’re stuck
the siblings three
so lost and angry
i didn’t leave you…
you
left
me.
