Artist’s Statement In my travels I attempt to portray the essence of the people and places I visit in interesting and varied ways. While others are capturing their cookie-cutter shots for Instagram, I’m more likely to be facing the opposite direction and pointing my lens toward people, scenes or details that are more often overlooked. It is my hope that these types of images afford viewers something unexpected, thus allowing them to experience, think about and appreciate a place in ways that are different from any preconceived notions they may have previously held.
