Written by Brenda Mox
.
Proud and sly as a fox,
his nature was a fierce yet abstracted
belief in the omnipotence of his own mind.
.
Powerful, cold and often hostile,
nothing lived in him except a prickly sense of disgust.
With an unbenevolent sense of supremacy,
he clings to the worship of his own cognition.
.
Full of fiery rhetoric, with eyes of a heedless hound,
he walks with passion but not purpose
and laughs with malicious triumph.
.
Rocked in the bosom of pride,
hard and cold as a jewel,
the architect of his own wrecked life
rolls his eyes as he walks away
in a self-absorbed vagueness,
hardening his soul in loathing and denial.
