From formless darkness, void and depth
Creation began with the Spirit’s breath.
The womb’s cocoon, nurturing life,
Protected, safe, and free from strife.
The worm in turn is covered by,
The chrysalis transforms to butterfly.
Seeds buried deep in winter’s cold and ice,
Emerge when warmth ignites their life
Spiritually dark, the eyes of the heart,
Need darkness for light the truth to impart.
There is a time to reap, a time to sow,
Everything in it’s season has time to grow.
Silence and solitude hold wisdom’s key,
Listen for the song to set the soul free.
The soul’s dark night, void of grace,
Holds God’s presence, His hidden face.
Churning emotions, doubt, and fear,
Chaos and confusion, before it’s made clear
From forgiveness, I can no longer hide
Darkness whispers, “Let it go. Abide.”
Shadows dance as light takes form,
My life emerges from the storm.
God of the mountain, flame, and cloud,
Hidden in the darkness, love avowed.
Calvary’s zenith was the deepest dark.
Love’s redemption with death it’s mark.
Past left behind, our burdens released,
Darkness had paved the path to peace.
As pilgrims, we tread the shadowed way,
Songs of praise, hope of a brighter day.
Through chaos, order finds its ground,
In darkness, divine plans abound.
Guided by the Spirit’s call, we rise,
As dawn’s first rays crack the skies.
To fear the dark is to miss its part,
For light and shadow shape the heart.
