Starting with a choice of images I pass him through the unconscious puzzle of my photographic writing to go towards what I don’t know and that I hope to discover.

About my photography Through the exhilaration of the research to find sense in the confusion of reality and fiction, my gaze shifts to capture the image and bring it into existence. This image, freed from its technical standards, can sometimes be blurry or of imperfect quality. Once discovered, the raw material is revealed through color and hue calibration. The subsequent retouching is often an essential step in enhancing it. It also allows for the creation of connections within the sequences that promote the undulation capable of bringing a story to life. This fantasized narrative passes an imagination that gives unless possibilities of the real to ward off the conditions of existence in a universe that is slipping away, a way of living that leads to an awareness of the uncertainty of the world and of ourselves at the heart of a reflection on our place as living beings. Thierry Dubreuil received training in imagery at the Contrejour gallery, newspaper, and publishing house, a sanctuary of artistic photography, in Paris in the 1980s. Then, he sought expression by exploring the various image-related professions amidst the excitement of the technological boom in computer graphics and video, notably participating in Picnic TV, a magazine program on video creation broadcast on an encrypted channel. Now, in the era of digital information and AI, he returned to photography to show, while playing on the ambiguity of the real, images that bear the mark of the human gaze.
