Strange and beside itself
is humanity
in concave valleys of tapestried
cultivation.
An air of remote self consciousness
amusingly on alert.
Reckless old, hot foot fellows
clothe themselves fiercely
for distinction.
That ghastly abstraction of criminals
or unholy triad of imbecility.
Flourishing ribboned whips
like a lion lashing its tail,
lordly, violent, shadowed with death.
Imbecile wantonness of war masters
seeking our children’s best.
