Andy Furtak is a street photographer from Warsaw, Poland, currently based in Lisbon, Portugal.

His work is rooted in street photography, with a distinct focus on abstraction and a fine art approach to everyday urban scenes. Rather than pursuing direct narratives, he is drawn to moments where reality dissolves into shapes, textures, light, and layered compositions.

Contrast plays a central role in his visual language, as do reflections, glass, shadows, and overlapping elements. He often photographs through surfaces, using layers to create images that feel timeless and subtly detached from a specific place or moment. Textures, materials, and the interaction between light and form are fundamental to how he constructs each frame.

Instead of offering clear explanations, his photographs leave space for interpretation. They suggest rather than define, inviting viewers to slow down, look closer, and discover their own meaning. Through this approach, he transforms ordinary urban fragments into quiet, carefully balanced compositions that exist between clarity and mystery.
