While wandering through the Colonia Guadalupe district in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, I was inspired to experiment with intentional camera movement, multiple exposures, and post-processing techniques to re-imagine the neighborhood’s wall graffiti—creating a version that exists only through artistic interpretation rather than in physical reality.

 

 

 

 

 

I stepped away from a career in textile design and weaving to explore the computer industry, but I soon found myself missing the creative process. That search for artistic expression led me to photography. Initially I focused on travels, until a friend’s encouragement prompted me to take it more seriously.

After studying the fundamentals and exploring creative workshops, I fully embraced photography by 2014. Mentorship from artists in Canada and the UK helped shape my vision, guiding me toward a more expressive, non-documentary approach and introducing me to multiple exposure techniques.

Today, my work reflects a fusion of past and present, often echoing the textures and colors of my textile roots. As a juried member of several art collectives, I have exhibited internationally and continue to explore new ways of expressing my artistic voice through photography.
