Brittany is known as “Breiz” in the Celtic language, a word meaning “variegated.” This land of many colors is the region of France that suits me best and resonates most deeply with me. I was not born there, yet I have adopted it—or rather, it has adopted me. The old language, though no longer spoken in daily life, endures on street signs. And while the people may change, they remain faithful to their breton identity, their traditions and a certain spirit. The sea remains as beautiful as ever and so do the landscapes and ancient monuments. I prefer Brittany in the freshness of spring and the soft lights of autumn.
