Frozen is a project about the delicate and transient beauty of nature captured in a state of suspension.

It focuses on flowers and organic forms encased in ice, exploring the tension between fragility and permanence. By freezing these subjects, the project transforms ephemeral life into enduring visual forms, highlighting textures, patterns, and details often overlooked in the natural world.

It examines themes of time, memory, and transformation, showing how beauty can persist even in stillness.

Through precise lighting and careful composition, each image emphasizes the intricate relationship between the natural object and the ice that both protects and isolates it, creating a quiet, contemplative space for viewers to reflect on impermanence and resilience.

The project is an exploration of how frozen moments can reveal layers of complexity and subtlety invisible to the naked eye. The ice acts as both a barrier and a frame, amplifying the visual and emotional impact of each subject. In this suspended state, ordinary natural forms are transformed into meditative studies of detail, fragility, and elegance, inviting viewers to pause and reconsider the fleeting moments and hidden wonders in the world around them.

Artist Statement

My work focuses on portraiture and conceptual fine art.

In portraiture, I am interested in the person in front of the camera. I focus on natural expressions, gestures, movement and the small details that make each person individual. I love experimenting with light and composition, playing with shadows, colour, perspective and different visual elements to create images that feel distinctive and visually engaging.

I allow space for spontaneity and genuine emotion, while using the photographic process to shape the mood, atmosphere and visual character of each image.

In my conceptual work, I use photography to explore ideas, create visual narratives and experiment with different ways of presenting a subject.
