Emir Ali Kaya presents diverCity, a long-term street photography project that began in Istanbul and continues today, focusing on people and life in the streets of the city. Istanbul is described as a diverse, multi-cultural environment that functions as an open-air studio for the work. Kaya, an Istanbul-based and almost self-taught photographer who started in the film and darkroom era and has worked digitally since 2006, uses street photography to seek candid and subtly unusual moments that invite viewers to complete the story through their own interpretations.
