Quaniet Richards presents Between Shadows and Light: Conversations in Cape Town as part of an ongoing #humansofcapetown project exploring everyday humanity in the city’s streets. Using black and white imagery, the work reflects on how people move through urban space physically and emotionally, with architectural layers and shifting light shaping each moment. Themes of duality, identity, solitude, and connection emerge through fleeting encounters and reflective surfaces. The series positions Cape Town as an active presence while asking who we are within the city and who we become when unseen.
