Edge of Humanity Magazine presents Presence, a photo essay by Katarzyna Leszczyńska-Kaszuba, exploring the cycle of life through personal and inherited space. The series reflects on those who have passed away and those who arrive to take their place, focusing on traces of presence that remain behind. These traces are both physical, such as furniture or images, and non-physical, existing in memory, sound, and thought. The project considers the act of entering, adapting, and redefining a space once occupied by others, while questioning how lives were lived and what remains after they are gone. Leszczyńska-Kaszuba, a contributor to Edge of Humanity Magazine, frames the work as a meditation on continuity, absence, and personal belonging, ultimately turning the lens toward her own presence and asking what traces will remain after her.
