The open air restaurants line up along the shore. The food is beautifully displayed on long tables as if a competition between the restaurants is about to start. A variety of fresh sea food pulled directly from the surrounding crystal clear waters is on display along with other cuts of meat and chicken. The local vegetables and the best vine ripe tomatoes adorn every plate. The guests can choose between the plates already set or they can create their own dinner by picking up the fish, meat or chicken they desire. The combination of lamb, chicken, sausage, fish, shellfish and vegetables are grilled to perfection on large barbeques right in front of you.
The restaurant décor is rustic, raw and organic. The seating area is by far the best aspect of the experience built between live coconut and palm trees that creates a feeling like you are in a treehouse facing the water. The seats are made out of a real palm tree trunk laid on the ground so that the guests have a place to rest their backs. For comfort, the trunks are covered with numerous colorful pillows which give the ambiance of a very warm feeling. One can hear the sizzling of the food grilling and the enchanting music playing in the background. The aroma of exotic Middle Eastern spices also fills the air. All the while, the guests have a panoramic view of the sea. Once you are seated you really do not want to move.
After finishing dinner, groups of people engage in conversation for hours talking about politics and other events going on in their lives while casually drinking coffee or tea and smoking cigarettes or puffing on the Shisha Pipe. Nobody is in a rush; life is too precious to be in hurry during this relaxing time enjoying fantastic food along the shore of the Red Sea.
