If you love to read quotes, the The Little Zen Companion is an excellent book to have in your library. The book is tiny, but thick. It measures roughly 5 inches (12.7 centimeters), by 5 inches ( 12.7 centimeters), but is 1 inch (2.54 centimeters) thick and contains 390 pages. There is a four page short introduction that discusses Zen as well as the history of Zen.  The meat and potatoes are the quotes that are both Eastern and Western. The author has put together an outstanding collection of sayings that include Zen Masters, T.S. Elliot, Allen Ginsberg, Walt Whitman, Vincent Van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Thoreau, Bob Dylan, etc, etc,…The book is jammed packed with 379 quotes and is great to read while sitting home drinking hot chocolate on a rainy lazy day.
