Subject to Change consists of photographic studies of sleep and connection between people at home. Each subject/process starts from an emotional or psychological place of rest. The resistant play between synthetic paper and printed ink forces the once clear digital photograph to diffuse, blur, and collect dust and hair as it dries, making each piece unique. These ethereal images change, like memory and perception, and reflect themes of connection, support and distance between the self and others. I am inspired by the inevitability of impermanence and seek to abstract familiar space.
