Mainstream news media is controlled by large corporations and they are beholden to their advertisers and other special interest groups. OK- Sometimes they have to stay away from controversial subjects. The companies behind these Goliath news groups are in business to make a profit. Every company in every industry, in a capitalist society, should be entitled to make money off their goods or services. The news business should not be any different.

The problem is that it is becoming ridiculous and insulting on how a large portion of not just commentary, but also reportage, is slanted to a specific agenda. Journalists working for these organizations need to toe the line, or else they will be replaced by another non-jaded recent journalism graduate. News in America now is primary nothing more than propaganda supporting an individual group, country, political party, policy, or a person.
