The photographs in this series were created in an area of the American West where economic crises are common, and left over’s of industry influence every aspect of daily life. With the advent of storage containers pushing the hinterland deeper into the country, the industries around the creating, moving, storing, and consuming of commodities have reshaped the American Landscape. The images in this series explore incorporated townships, distribution centers, extraction zones, and intermediate zones within the landscape, each a subtle and influential part of the system which is reshaping and standardizing the landscape.
