Hermit Poet’s Comments: Although The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding is not directly related to the Nibbling On Asian History & Philosophy series, I’m using the above statements from the book to emphasize that throughout history, martial arts in Asia, helped to keep the meditating monks active because building a strong body goes with a calm mind.
