The Tao of War

By Wang Chen

Translated  By Ralph D. Sawyer

Excerpt:

#24

” Those on tiptoe do not stand;

Those striding do not walk.

One who boasts lacks achievements;

One who is arrogant does not long persist.”

(page 129)

Hermit Poet’s Comments: It is best not to brag about achievements. Social media has given a platform for people to talk about themselves and the things in their life in a narcissistic manner. This long term will not be good for society.
