Eventually people in America will get so fed up with call centers in India, Philippines, etc. They will just hang up and companies will offer more online support or move call center jobs back to the states.
The main problem is proper training. They do not stop to listen and apologize for absolutely no reason. The larger the company, the worse the customer service is. Representatives have no idea of what they are selling or trying to fix. My experience is that every single time I have a problem outside of the very basic, things completely fall apart. I stop and ask a flat direct question “Do you know what ‘ABC’ is?” And around the mulberry bush they go directing the conversation until I bite on something else. And No, until my last call they were NEVER able to answer my question.
