During the time I spent taking these photographs in this rest home. I witness the joy and sadness of its elderly residents.
Some of them are independent and can lead a normal life, they have their own room and their friends come to visit them. The elderly like to sing old traditional Italian songs, reading newspapers, magazines and playing cards.
On the contrary, those in need of assistance have a more boring and difficult life as they need help with every aspect of their daily lives.
The elderly live their existence with great dignity and enthusiasm.
