I am interested in what can be seen, what can’t be seen, and in those things that pass unnoticed by the human eye. I discover new forms in the human eye. I discover new forms in the banal. I play with volume, shade and textures, from imprints of the landscape or creations of man. My camera is a tool to of the landscape or creations of man. My camera is a tool to capture the dialogue that exists between objects and shadows, expressing an individual vision and physical spaces. My photos fuse the past with the present and future offer ring indefinite pieces of work, without chronological order, and which lend themselves to different interpretations. Each photo allows the viewer to extend imagination and form a personal reflection of the work.

Architecture and urban landscapes dominate my work. But it’s not the structures themselves that take preference, rather the powerful angles and shadows, and use of light that prevail in these black and white formats. These are highly studied compositions, where nothing is random, except for the subjective opinion of the viewer. I strive that my photos possess simplicity, clean lines and stillness, characteristics eternally inherent in urban structures. My snapshots are a world apart from their real-life concrete representations. Independent of the actual structure, I try to capture my own interpretation, which in turn helps me form a collection of visual architectural pieces that are timeless.

Every piece of art, crafts, or textiles, hanging on my walls or ceiling tells a tiny passage of my life. Most of it was acquired during my travels. Many of these treasures are damaged whether because they were broken on arrival, as the pieces were tightly stuffed into my backpack, or weathered by the unforgiving Florida tropical humidity. But in the end, they are my precious processions and they are part of the stories I tell. It feels good to have rugs hanging from the ceiling, masks on the walls, and drinking my morning coffee thinking of the mugs’ tale. The point here is that art has a lot to offer each one of us; ART IS VERY PERSONAL!
