Confusion of thoughts walking past
A Moss Bros shop in a world of dreams
Behind the glass so wide and vast
His pose caught in spotlight beams
A casual stance in a winter coat
Empty face glistens like sweat on his brow
Trapped in his world as passers-by gloat
I feel his pain, but I don’t know how
Both of us trapped locked on the inside
With no way out for him or for me
Does he know how many tears I’ve cried
Yet I’m sure he knows the longing to be free
I looked in his face and said
I’ll do it for both of us, mate
Setting the path on the way ahead
A destiny echoed by thoughts of fate
Today I walk taller as I pass by
New mannequins dressed for a summer afloat
I don’t stop, I’ve no time to sigh
But in my wardrobe hangs a Moss Bros coat
