Artist statement

I started my photo series “Paysages flous” after working on disappearance (showing the impact of time in an image).

I realized that moving images were interesting, especially those taken at 1/8sec. I also discovered then that other photographers had been using that technique to move the camera (ICM).

I really enjoy applying this technique to landscape photography. It allows me to translate the poetic nature of landscapes, just like I experience them myself.

I also used a pinhole in my exploration of “Paysages flous”. I especially like the results obtained from this lens, which to me opens interesting passages to dreamlike images.

With their unreal aspect, these blurred landscapes allow viewers to invent their own landscapes.
