Written by Peter McCollum
you flaked, you flaked
you flaked again
i’m flustered, flagged, and faint
you lied, you lied
you lied again
i’m listless and it’s late
a word, a word
give me a word
and just confirm my doubt
a “yes” or “no”
so i can know
if i should throw you out
you knew, you knew
and yet you lied
and promised lofty things
you knew, you knew
and so you hid
from what you couldn’t bring
you flaked, you flaked
too many times
and led me quite astray
you flaked, you flaked
and then you lied
so now we’re parting ways
